Community Involvement

Andres is an active member in the organization ULEED.  United Latinos for Empowerment, Education and Development (ULEED) is a 501(c)3 Illinois non-profit organization established in July 2010 by a small group of individuals who envisioned brighter avenues for the young adult community, ages 18 and over.

The mission for ULEED is to foster career-driven leadership through programs focused on empowerment, education and development. In collaboration with other community organizations, these programs are specifically tailored to address the unique challenges facing young adults living in our Chicago communities.

He also does classroom talks as a guest speaker for Junior Achievement.  In these classroom talks he challenges students, through interactive classroom activities, to start their own entrepreneurial venture while still in high school. The program provides useful, practical content to assist teens in the transition from being students to productive, contributing members of society.

Lastly, he recently became part of the founding associate board for Bottom Line.  Bottom Line helps low-income and first-generation-to-college students get to and through college. We are committed to building strong connections with our students, providing them with individual support, and ensuring they have the guidance they need to persist and earn a college degree.
